technologies.
Short History of
Canon
Canon has well over sixty years experience in the field of cameras, image viewers and
binoculars. In 1933, Canon started with a small number of employees as a little known small time camera manufacturer. But it is now becoming a
multi-billion dollar multi-national multimedia company, manufacturing and selling not only cameras and binoculars but office equipment such as
fax machines, photocopiers and printers as well. Canon Binoculars, along with most of the company’s other products are the current best sellers across the whole globe.
Common
Features
Each Canon binocular has
something different to offer than the other one, but some of the common features are a lightweight design across all lines, rubber coated for
extra grip and protection from the elements, ergonomically designed to fit the hands, a minimum of 8x magnification and most Canon binoculars
if not all of them have an in-built image stabilizer. These binoculars are now becoming a style statement among the young and a word among the
elderly.
Performance/Ratings
Most of the people either
know or have seen ratings for Canon binoculars from average at 4/5 stars, 90/100% and so on. All say they are impressed with how far the Canon
binoculars magnify objects and how amazing the in-built image stabilizer is in some of the more expensive models ($1,500 +). I only know one
person out of the ten reviews I have read and five friends I spoke to that has had a problem with the binoculars but it was easily repaired,
although it was due to a design flaw and not to human error or mistreatment.
Popular Canon
Models
The most popular pair of
budget Canon binoculars is the 7562A018 which is the smallest binoculars in the world to have in-built image stabilization. At a size of 8x25,
they really are the best choice and with price that is under $350, they are also quite affordable.
At the higher end of the
scale is the hugely popular E-58U with a huge magnification range and size of 18x50. It has all the features of the afore mentioned model,
only that it’s
bigger and better, but is still incredibly lightweight and fits any hands almost perfectly, rubber coated for grip and weather protection.
Somewhere in between the two models is the 12x36 with a slightly lower resolution, slightly more expensive than the 7562A018 but much more
cost effective than the E-58U, at approximately $532.
